No one in a relationship is always on the same page. Maybe on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, but the remaining four days of the week, most of us are running rogue and that’s okay. Bluntly put, if you are in this particular relationship for the long haul, you need to know when to compromise, when to concede and when to refuse to budge!

But remember, your counterpart has the same rights in this partnership. What’s good for the Goose is even better for the Gander. In a relationship that you value, it is a mistake to waste time constantly engaged in power struggles. You have to know when to give, and when to get! When to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em.

A good relationship is built on a solid foundation in which we are the Builders. They take time and genuine effort. But, a satisfying relationship is not all work. Thence, you must recognize the difference because if you find that you are working at your relationship harder than you do at your day job, you just might want to reevaluate that relationship.
